My THINK + SMART Profile

Key Symptoms Addressed

Bipolar is in remission, deep depression & suicidal thoughts have disappeared.

My Top Three Strategies

4:1 ratio ketogenic diet, fasting (24-72 hours), and body movement.

T H

Therapeutic

I do not have clinical oversight or take any medication.

I

Integration

Annual blood test and wellness check. Sodium & minerals only.

N

Nutritional

High-Fat/beef only, total calories from fat at or above 90% most days, zero carb. One-meal a day = 20-26 hours of fasting daily. Once weekly 40-hour fast and once monthly 72-hour fast or longer.

K

Ketosis

Ketones 1.5 or higher, glucose 85 or lower, daily testing upon waking. Periodically push ketones into the 3-6 range and feel my best there.

S

Sleep

Maintain a regular sleep schedule with 7-8 hours of daily sleep and consistent bed and wake-up times.

M

Move

Daily mobility and walking, 2-times weekly weight-lifting, one-time weekly sprints.

A

Avoid

No caffeine, alcohol, dairy, wheat, soy, or carbs. Avoid being late or having little time for projects.

R

Rebuild

Daily meditation & breath work. Building relationships in the keto community & maintaining contact in several small but intimate online groups where we share our blood results, food tracking, and fast & perform challenges together. In addition, running my Facebook group and focusing on YouTube helps keep me engaged and motivated.

T

Track

I use Cronometer for food, Keto-Mojo for blood, and a biometrics scale for body stats. All data is entered in Excel to track progress & record exercise. I love to view trends over time and learn what works best.
