My THINK + SMART Profile

Key Symptoms Addressed

Hallucinations & episodes stopped.

My Top Three Strategies

Getting outside everyday, having a good sleep routine & whole foods keto diet.

T H

Therapeutic

My mom is my care team. She reads a lot of books and studies on metabolic and ketogenic therapies. She helped me do it all with the help of our pharmacist to decrease my medications.

I

Integration

There was no family doctor at beginning of journey, so no tests have been done. We supplement with MCT oil, vitamin D3, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

N

Nutritional

I eat a whole foods animal based keto. I eat what makes me feel good. I bring my own food to social gatherings. My mom helps me keep my ratios around 70% fat, 20% protein, and 10% carbs or less.

K

Ketosis

Urine test strips. I feel best when my ketones are above 1.5 (the higher the better). I test a couple times a week.

S

Sleep

I make sure to go to bed and wake up around the same time every day, limit my screen time, and get outside.

M

Move

Walking, biking, dancing, and playing with my dogs outside.

A

Avoid

I used to have a really difficult time being in public spaces. It would trigger my anxiety, and my bipolar episode would soon follow. I started going with my parents on little trips to stores to help me get better at being in social places.

R

Rebuild

Meditation helps. Spending time with my family and loved ones.

T

Track

We have a request in to our doctor for a CGM.
