Therapeutic
Keto intervention was initiated by a low carb specialist. Progress was monitored through the use of trackers and regular check-ins, with him and a dietitian. I was, at the time, already off all anti-depressants but was still on ADHD medication. I tried to come off of Vyvanse multiple times but had sensory side effects I couldn't cope with (crawling insects under my skin) so had to go very slow. I'm not off them for 2 months.
Integration
I got all blood panels done, and had them repeated multiple times. Magnesium glycenate at night, B1 in morning if I go over 20g carbs day before, creatine and collagen. I had to get a lot of B12 injections over 6 months. I was taking iodine and a whole bunch of supplements in the beginning but it cost too much.
Nutritional
I have reduced feeding windows and try to not eat after dark.
Ketosis
Strict keto, under 20 grams a day. Still figuring it out, but aim for 1.5-2:1 (g) ratio or 3-4.5:1 (kcal) ratio. Ketones measure with CKM and strips- originally I was aiming for 0.5-3, but my most recent monitor I tried above 3 and felt a very clear shift- so I'm still learning. I've done 5 monitors in the last year. When I use strips I do it once a day (they cost a lot). Glucose monitors- did multiple. I also have strips.
