Dr. Matthew Bernstein was a doctor I had to find outside of my network. Since meds made me worse, I wasn't on any when starting. Dr. Bernstein was there to monitor for adverse reactions and protect my sleep.

Integration

No supplements. We did some labs for cholesterol and other related markers.

Nutritional

I started with green veggies and high-fat cuts of meat with lots of high-fat no-carb dessert items I made myself. I did intermittent fasting for a few weeks before starting and lots of electrolytes to avoid discomfort while adapting to my new diet. It was seamless and easy for me. I know others may have a harder time adapting. I still often fast.

Ketosis

Keto-Mojo! I check glucose and ketones daily.

Sleep

Try to minimize stress. Don't allow myself to stay up doing a fun project too late in the evening. Get direct sun exposure as often as possible early in the day. Gaze at the setting sun.

Move

None at the moment.

Avoid

Alcohol. And I have learned to know my social activity limits. I can become over stimulated if there are too many people for too long or I just have reached my limit of being with people. I also have learned that certain intense light can totally sink my energy for hours, so I vigorously avoid them.

Better health and a clearer mind gave me the energy and optimism I needed.
