Challenging reductionistic views of psychosis, Radiant Beast is a living workbook on metabolic healing, spiritual growth, and transformative recovery.
I am excited to announce that I will soon be launching a new blog. Rooted in the emerging sciences of metabolic psychiatry and mitochondrial psychobiology, Radiant Beast: The Open Workbook proposes a new model of healing—one that moves beyond pathology and toward reconciliation and post-traumatic growth. It explores the intersection of psychosis, consciousness, and spirituality, recognizing that many who experience prolonged altered states are sensitive, creative, and deep-thinking individuals who long for alignment with a greater sense of purpose.
Too often, conventional treatment models disregard the subjective experiences of those in psychosis—leading to a fragmented sense of self, ongoing depression and suicidality, and poor treatment adherence. Radiant Beast invites readers into an evolving conversation that challenges this reductionistic view, reframing our understanding of psychosis through an energetic lens.
We all move in and out of psychosis each day as we transition between dreaming and waking—natural altered states that remind us how fluid consciousness truly is. Psychosis is an inherent part of the human experience. Reducing prolonged episodes to mere pathology can be harmful—especially for those who must make sense of what they’ve lived through and forge a path toward recovery.
I will explore tools to empower individuals who have experienced psychosis to find meaning in their experiences, achieve stability through metabolic therapies, and safely reignite creativity and philosophical thinking—without fear of losing their grip on reality.
Drawing from both cutting-edge science and ancient wisdom traditions, I will explore pathways to resilience, self-actualization, and community-rooted purpose that foster long-term healing and integration.
By sharing Radiant Beast as an open workbook in progress, this blog will also serve as an invitation to dialogue—welcoming engagement via social media and email from other experts by experience, clinicians, researchers, self-development experts, and seekers alike, as we forge a new paradigm for mental wellbeing and self-actualization.
